A mark is an observed asking price
Every price Luxfolio publishes is the median of asking prices we have observed for one exact configuration of a bag — house, model, size, colour, material and hardware — at a stated condition, on a stated date. Alongside every mark we show how many listings it is based on and how confident we are in it.
An asking price is what a seller wants. It is not what anyone paid.
What a mark is not
- Not an appraisal. No qualified appraiser has examined your bag.
- Not an authentication. We have not seen your item and make no statement about whether it is genuine or as described.
- Not a transaction price. Except where we explicitly label a figure as an auction result, no sale has taken place at that number.
- Not advice. Nothing here recommends buying, holding or selling anything.
Thin markets
Many variants trade a handful of times a year. Where we have too few observations to publish an honest number, we say "indicative" and show the count rather than inventing confidence we do not have. Treat a low-confidence mark as a starting point for your own research, not an answer.
Do not use a mark for
Insurance schedules, tax filings, probate, lending, divorce or any other purpose that requires a professional valuation. Engage a qualified appraiser.
Trademarks
House and model names are used descriptively to identify the goods being priced. Luxfolio is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any maison.
